"Your enemy is not surrounding your country.  Your enemy is ruling your country."  This Orwellian paradox from George Bush reveals our true predicament.  The Federal government is fully complicit with perpetrators of the atrocity at the World Trade Center, in a striking historical analogy to Hitler's Reichstag Fire.   

The US establishment continually reminds us of September 11 as the justification for everything that has followed -- the war in Afghanistan, the aggressions in Iraq, and the attacks on civil liberties at home.  Yet many activists allow this hypocritical justification to go unchallenged, as if September 11 can be ignored.  We argue to the contrary, that a correct analysis of September 11 should be a critical element of any response to the outbreak of US aggression at home and abroad.

The stand-down:  While the attacks of Sept. 11 took place, George W. Bush remained in a classroom, reading a story about goats.  Meanwhile, the entire US military and aviation establishment stood down and completely failed to follow their own well-established procedures for dealing with hijacked airplanes.  These procedures, and the completely traitorous failure to carry them out, have been detailed by Jared Israel.  His research was endorsed by George Szamuely of the New York Press, who wrote an excellent summary.

Israeli spy scandal:  Critical parts of our national communications infrastructure are owned by Israeli corporations in a position to spy on virtually all telephone calls and Internet instant messages in the United States.  Leaked documents from the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) obtained by John Sugg, along with other sources, have also demonstrated that the ranks of the alleged "hijackers" were carefully monitored by Israeli spies. The key document for the Israeli spy story is the leaked DEA report, which is mirrored here.

The Israelis may have tried to notify the CIA and the US government about the upcoming terrorist attacks, but apparently they already knew all about it.  If the Israelis had really wanted to do something about the hijackers, perhaps they should have called a press conference and told the American people directly?

While the common people were clueless, governments all over the world were able to learn about  what was coming on Sept. 11.  These issues are documented in Mike Ruppert's 9-11 timeline, as well as the much more extensive Complete 9/11 timeline by Paul Thompson, and in a four-part series at the World Socialist Web Site.  

Osama Bush-Laden:  The CIA, and possibly other US military flight schools as well, were involved in providing nominal levels of  flight training for the alleged hijackers.  (That is, except for the ones who were carrying fake ID, so we really have no idea who they were.) And their presumed leader, Osama Bin Laden, is himself tied to the CIA by long association -- and was enough of a phony to address the world masquerading as an Islamic revolutionary, while wearing a United States army surplus jacket.  And, the funding for terrorist Mohamed Atta (or rather, the man posing as Mohamed Atta) was routed through General Ahmad of Pakistan's ISI.  The ISI is believed to coordinate their activities closely with the US CIA, and on Sept. 11, General Ahmad was in Washington, visiting with the chairmen of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees, Senator Bob Graham (D) and Representative Porter Goss (R).  Sen. Graham has since stated that "foreign governments involved in facilitating the activities of at least some of the terrorists", although he refused to state which governments were responsible.

The Smoking Chimp:   Security services for the World Trade Center were provided by Securacom, a joint project of Marvin Bush, Wirt Walker III (presumably another scion of Bush pater familias George Herbert Walker), and the Al Sabah royal family of Kuwait -- as documented by Margie Burns of the American Reporter.   Securacom also had provided services to United Airlines and to Dulles Airport, although those contracts had terminated by Sept. 11,2001.

Dark suspicions:  Remote control and explosive demolition theories about 9-11 are a "specialty of the house" at this website.  Reputable journalists and radical muckrakers alike are joined in their contempt of these theories.  In his essay "No Way Out", the researcher and activist Mike Ruppert wrote:  

"It is the past experience issue that is so diligently ignored by those newly awakened voices of opposition who expend needless energy debating whether explosives were placed in the towers, whether the planes were remote controlled, whether an airliner really hit the Pentagon, or whether maybe Congress will actually do something about any of it. These debates are worse than rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. They are expediting the demise of people who could otherwise be constructing life rafts."

With all due respect to Ruppert,  I remain convinced that however speculative these explanations might be, they fit the available facts far better than anything else available.  While I agree that these arguments are too controversial to form  the basis of political activism, I don't see any reason why any taboo on discussion or research should be enforced.  

If I may be permitted an analogy to the well-known story of the assassination of John F. Kennedy: while the Arab student pilots were set up as the "patsies", the professional "hit squad" may possibly have been another team that drove the flights to their targets using  remote control.  Some sources indicate that the controls were  fit to the airplanes as standard equipment, while other arguments indicate that the necessary equipment might have been designed for military applications and bolted in to the 9-11 aircraft.  

Earliest reports from the Pentagon indicated that a helicopter explosion or attack took place.  However, during the course of the day, two legends were put into place -- the first, that the Pentagon was struck by an airliner; and also an alternative hoax, that a missile was responsible. But no tangible, verifiable evidence of an airliner crash at the Pentagon has ever been produced.  Our analysis indicates  that in reality, sophisticated shaped-charge explosive technology was used to create a scene comporting with the appearance of an jetliner crash, while simultaneously a 757 overflew the area and landed at nearby Reagan National Airport.  If this scenario is correct, it shows that US intelligence agencies have developed an extraordinary capability to create elaborate magic shows on the world stage, generate false testimony and false evidence, and control and manipulate not only the "official story" but also its dialectical opposition among the critics.

New evidence is emerging to indicate that explosive technology was also required to produce the magic show of 9/11.  (An early attempt on my part to explore this possibility ended only with an explosion of egg on my face.)
